当然のことながら日本球界に復帰するかどうかを決めるのは藤浪投手自身であり、メディアではありません。 佐々木朗希投手についてもこの2年間は過度なバッシングが続き、ウインターミーティングの場で代理人が改めて密約説を否定するともに、日本メディア（米国在住の日本メディアは省くとしています）の報道姿勢に疑義を呈する発言しています。
